First of all there is ‘Reduction’ — a Reduction is where the surgeon reduces the size of the nose. There are a number of options available to your surgeon for this type of procedure, all of which can be explained in detail during your consultation.
A Nose Tip Correction or ‘Rhino Tip Correction’ is surgical correction to the tip of the nose. This procedure has the ability to completely transform the shape of the nose with relatively little effort by simply reshaping the skin, fat or cartilage at the tip of the nose. Unlike nasal correction no bone or tissue is removed. This procedure is often carried out under anaesthetic with sedation with no need for a general anaesthetic.
There are few categories of Rhino Tip correction, they include:
Patients occasionally request for their nose to be enlarged. This procedure may involve harvesting bone and cartilage from other sites on your body or perhaps even the use of implants. With this type of surgery your procedure with be discussed in great detail with you and will be formally agreed ahead of surgery.
In partnership with the Elanic clinic in Glasgow, our surgeons have access to one of Scotland’s only Vectra 3D imaging systems. This highly sophisticated piece of equipment allows patients to actually see themselves on screen with the ability to make adjustments to their nose shape prior to committing to surgery.
